COMMISSION PROCESS

Have you been dreaming of the ultimate custom piece for your home, or just something functional and practical to neaten up your living space? Here is the way I go about taking on commission work for clients.

GET IN CONTACT
Send me an email or give me a call. Have a think about what styles you like and find 3-5 images of things you like the look of. Consider style, materials and colour choices when doing so.

CONSULT
Often we will meet and talk about your project which usual takes about 30 minutes to an hour. It is good to meet in the space we are designing for, whether it be a kitchen, dining or living space, to get a feel for what will work best practically and aesthetically.

QUOTE
I then go away and write a quote for you for the proposed project. You would usually receive this one week after our consult.

DEPOSIT
If you are happy with the price a 50% deposit is taken which gets us started and able to order materials and begin the designs for your project.

DESIGN
When you are happy with the design I will get you to confirm in writing and then we get started on the fabricating!

PROGRESS
The length of time for completion varies on the size and complexity your project. My lead times also vary throughout the year depending on workload. Sometimes you get lucky and I can sneak your job through amongst others, but for larger more complex jobs there may be a wait time of 2 to 6 months. Generally I am booked up for a minimum of 8 weeks at any time.

DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
Throughout the process we will be in contact and towards the end of a build a suitable time will be arranged with you to deliver and/or install. Kitchens or wardrobes for example, may take one or two days to instal and freestanding furniture such as dining tables are simply delivered and placed in the space you would like it. Covid safe practices are adhered to by me and my staff and also able to show vaccination status if required.

FINAL PAYMENT
The final 50% owing on the project will be settled by you on the day of installation or delivery.
